On the Way to National place(Jalan Duta)
wohoo!Having fun in the double-decker buses
Natational Monument Kuala Lumpur
The National Monument (Tugu Negara) is made in remembrance of the fallen ‘soldiers’ during the fight for freedom to independence in Malaysia. It represents the fallen soldiers during the 2nd World War, when Japan occupied this part of Southeastern Asia.
You can also find the monument on the 1RM notes. Upon arrival at this place, you cannot instantly see the bronze soldiers. You first walk across a beautiful wide stairway up the hill, after which you walk through the first part of the monument
Close Enough !
Plaza Tugu Negara
Right next to the National Monument you will find Plaza Tugu Negara. Here you will find a couple of small shops where you can buy drinks, ice cream and small snacks. Here you will find toilets too.
Merdeka Square
The Merdeka Square (also known as Independence Square and Dataran Merdeka) is a large open square situated in the centre of the city. It’s one of Malaysia’s famous heritage buildings, a place where Malaysia’s independence from the British rule was declared in the year 1957, and the Malaysian flag was hoisted on the 100 metre-high flagpole that dominates the open space.
This guy, member of the ARCH, creates miniature buildings representing the original.
KL Convention Centre & Aquaria
There’s a double decker skybridge connecting the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors. The bridge which is 170 m above the ground and 58 m long, is open to the visitors. Tickets are limited to only 1000 people per day, and must-be obtained on a first-come, first-served basis. A visit to KL is hardly complete without visiting the Petronas Towers though, so it is advisable to rise early and stand in line for tickets.
The base of the towers is a popular spot with a great angle for taking a picture of yourself with the towers looming over you.
When you’re done admiring the view, Suria KLCC is a massive mall located within the towers. It is a shopping paradise with everything from fashion to electronics.
Sometimes, you've gotta look at the back :P
We were hungry at this moment and were thinking where to eat and we narrowed down to Pizza Hut before leaving to Aquaria. Sadly there were no pictures taken in Pizza Hut because we were hungry and too lazy to snap shots plus the waitresses were slow, not their fault though considering there were many customers.
KL Tower
The Kuala Lumpur Tower(Menara Kuala Lumpur)is a tall tower located in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia. Its construction was completed on 1 March 1995.It is used for communication purpose and features and antenna that reaches 421 metres(1381 feet). The roof of the pod is at 335 metres(1099 feet)
After this, our tiredness went to the extreme although Raj still has energy to keep walking. We got down at Central Market and took the LRT back to our respective areas of living.
